Job Description
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Additional job details and special considerations
The system analyst will provide support for critical TIERS systems, 24x7 on-call rotation is required. Some weekend work is required. Support may require on-premises work at times.
Position will be 100% remote but may require on-call and on-site duties when needed.  Candidates must  within the state (Any location within the State of Texas) specifically around Austin Metro Area and surrounding cities. Out of State candidates will not be considered.

  8 Required High level knowledge and experience of network facilities and data processing techniques, of computer hardware and software, of network operating system and security software, and of performance monitoring and capacity management tools
  8 Required Extensive knowledge and experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisor Experience with Hyper-V and VMware.
  8 Required Knowledge and experience of administering Windows Systems (Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, PXE), Linux, Network Administration, IT Governance, and Security/Privacy policies and tools.
  8 Required Additional / Preferred experience supporting the following: Ansible, SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes and open-source software. Ability to direct and organize work activities
  8 Required Strong ability to identify problems/issues, analyze and evaluate alternatives and recommend/implement effective solutions.
  8 Required Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc).
  8 Required Experience providing server and application support on a 24X7 on-call basis and on a rotating schedule basis. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  8 Required Experience with server hardware equipment replacement/upgrades.
  6 Preferred Ability to prepare concise written reports appropriate to the audience. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  6 Preferred Ability to plan and coordinates server maintenance activities with TIERS Data Center Contractor and CSPs services, including security patching and other activities related to the TIERS Security Program. May assist in Data Center Maintenance Coordination.
  6 Preferred Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise. Experience installing and implementing SQL Server clustered environment,
